Holographic Derivation of Kerr-Newman Scattering Amplitudes for General Charge and Spin

چکیده
Near-superradiant scattering of charged scalars and fermions by a near-extreme KerrNewman black hole and photons and gravitons by a near-extreme Kerr black hole are computed as certain Fourier transforms of correlators in a two-dimensional conformal field theory. The results agree with the classic spacetime calculations from the 1970s, thereby providing good evidence for a conjectured Kerr-Newman/CFT correspondence.

The Charge-Mass-Spin Relation of Clifford Polyparticles, Kerr-Newman Black Holes and the Fine Structure Constant
A Clifford-algebraic interpretation is proposed of the charge, mass, spin relationship found recently by Cooperstock and Faraoini which was based on the Kerr-Newman metric solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations. The components of the polymomentum associated with a Clifford polyparticle in four dimensions provide for such a charge, mass, spin relationship without the problems encountered in...
متن کاملHELICITY AND PLANAR AMPLITUDES IN PION-PROTON SCATTERING AT 6.0 GeV/c
In addition to optimal conditions, invariant laws of Lorentz, parity and time reversal are imposed to find the relation between observables (spin rotation parameters) and bilinear combination of helicity amplitudes in pion-proton elastic scattering at 6.0 GeV/c. By normalizing the differential cross-section to unity, the magnitudes of helicity amplitudes and the angle between them are dete...
متن کاملMicroscopic Realization of the Kerr/CFT Correspondence
Supersymmetric M/string compactifications to five dimensions contain BPS black string solutions with magnetic graviphoton charge P and near-horizon geometries which are quotients of AdS3 × S2. The holographic duals are typically known 2D CFTs with central charges cL = cR = 6P 3 for large P . These same 5D compactifications also contain non-BPS but extreme Kerr-Newman black hole solutions with S...
متن کاملNONDYNAMICAL ANALYSIS OF SPIN AMPLITUDES IN PION-PROTON ELASTIC SCATTERING IN OPTIMAL FORMALISM AT 6.0 GeV/C
Optimal conditions are used in nondynamical formalism to diagonalize the pionproton reaction matrix as much as possible. Invariance laws are imposed to simplify the relationship between observables and bilinear combination of amplitudes. Transverse amplitudes are determined by using measured polarization parameter in xfp elastic scattering at 6.0 GeVIC
متن کاملQuantum spectrum for a Kerr-Newman black hole
In this paper, we consider the quantum area spectrum for a rotating and charged (Kerr-Newman) black hole. Generalizing a recent study on Kerr black holes (which was inspired by the static-black hole formalism of Barvinsky, Das and Kunstatter), we show that the quantized area operator can be expressed in terms of three quantum numbers (roughly related to the mass, charge and spin sectors). More ...
